The Lorain Elks Lodge was established in 1913 and celebrated its 100th anniversary on 2013.  United States Naval Fleet Admiral Ernest King was a Lorain Elk.

Before the Great Depression, the lodge was a 4-star restaurant. Lorain is an International City on the great shores of Lake Erie, with its famous Lighthouse guarding its shoreline.

The Black River Landing has fun summer entertainment including Rockin' on the River and Lorain is home to the historic Palace Theater.
